While aging can mean you’ve experienced more time with your family, vacations, and other fun things, it may also mean aesthetic concerns about your body that you didn’t have before. Loose skin and stubborn fat deposits can leave you self-conscious and unable to enjoy life to the fullest. But getting older doesn’t mean you’re stuck with these problems.Have a Question
The Morpheus8 Body treatment offers revolutionary skin resurfacing and tightening with fat remodeling. After Morpheus8 treatment, you can enjoy rejuvenated body contours and restored confidence in your appearance.
What is Morpheus8 Body?
Morpheus8 Body is a minimally invasive treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to improve specific areas of the body. The fractional radiofrequency (RF) technology repairs and tightens damaged skin and addresses stubborn fat (adipose tissue). The microneedling device stimulates collagen and elastin to further tighten lax skin and create a smooth, even complexion.
Efficiently treat larger areas and deeper body fat and skin concerns
Morpheus8 Body is the newest addition to the Morpheus8 platform. While it uses the same microneedling RF technology as other Morpheus8 modules, the Body handpiece is bigger and can treat larger areas of the body more rapidly and at deeper depths.
Other Morpheus8 treatments only treat one layer at a time, but the added “Burst mode” of this module allows us to simultaneously treat multiple tissue layers with controlled energy.
The efficient fat remodeling and skin tightening can improve your body shape as well as your skin tone and texture.
Am I a candidate for Morpheus8 Body?
The Morpheus8 Body is highly versatile and can treat any skin type and tone. Almost anyone with mild to moderate aging signs and bothersome fat can benefit from the treatment. Patients should be in generally good health and have realistic expectations of the results.
Unfortunately, patients with an extremely high BMI might not be candidates. A consultation with Dr. Friedlander will help determine if the treatment is right for you.
If you are not a candidate for Morpheus8 Body, Dr. Friedlander may be able to recommend a treatment that can achieve your cosmetic goals.
What areas can be treated with Morpheus8 Body?
Morpheus8 can treat almost any area of the body. The most common treatment areas include:
- Upper arms
If you have other areas of concern, Dr. Friedlander can assess them during your consultation to see if they can benefit from treatment.
How is Morpheus8 Body treatment done?
Before your treatment, local anesthesia is injected into the treatment area to keep you comfortable. The anesthesia should last 45 minutes to an hour, giving Dr. Friedlander plenty of time to complete the treatment before the numbness wears off.
The Morpheus8 Body treatment itself takes 30 minutes or less. The total treatment time will depend on the size of the treatment area and the amount of correction needed.
During treatment, Dr. Friedlander will apply the handpiece to the skin, which uses silicone-coated microneedling tips to deliver radiofrequency energy into the tissues.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
For optimal results, we recommend that patients undergo two to three initial treatments to stimulate collagen and improve the structural support of the tissues.
What is the recovery like after Morpheus8 Body treatment?
All Morpheus8 treatments have the benefit of needing very little downtime. You will need to apply a gentle ointment, such as Aquaphor®, to your skin during the first 24 hours to protect it and help it heal. Other than that, there are no restrictions regarding regular activity; you are free to return to work and other responsibilities immediately after treatment. However, exercise and strenuous activity should be avoided for the first day or two.
Redness and itching are potential Morpheus8 side effects that may be present for the first few days. Itching can be relieved using over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream.
How can I maintain my Morpheus8 results?
As with any cosmetic treatment, the body continues to age over time. As we get older, we lose collagen and hyaluronic acid, often resulting in less hydration and volume. We recommend repeat treatments every six months to a year to ensure the body continues to produce the collagen needed to maintain results.
How much does Morpheus8 cost in New Jersey?
Morpheus8 treatment cost will vary between patients depending on the number of areas being treated. A consultation with Dr. Friedlander can help you determine a more detailed financial estimate for your body treatment.
What can the other Morpheus8 modules correct?
While the Morpheus8 Body handpiece is used to correct large areas, other modules can be used for smaller face and body areas.
- Morpheus8 is used to treat the face and décolleté.
- Morpheus8 Prime uses a smaller handpiece to treat hard-to-reach areas, such as the eyelids.
- Morpheus8 Resurfacing is used to treat scarring and hyperpigmentation on the body and face.
