Morpheus8 Body is a minimally invasive treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to improve specific areas of the body. Morpheus8 Body is the newest addition to the Morpheus8 platform. While it uses the same microneedling RF technology as other Morpheus8 modules, the Body handpiece is bigger and can treat larger areas of the body more rapidly and at deeper depths.
The fractional radiofrequency (RF) technology repairs and tightens damaged skin and addresses stubborn fat (adipose tissue). The microneedling device stimulates collagen and elastin to further tighten lax skin and create a smooth, even complexion. Other Morpheus8 treatments only treat one layer at a time, but the added “Burst mode” of this module allows us to treat multiple tissue layers with controlled energy simultaneously. As a result, efficient fat remodeling and skin tightening can improve your body shape as well as your skin tone and texture.
The Morpheus8 Body is highly versatile and can treat any skin type and tone. Almost anyone with mild to moderate aging signs and bothersome fat can benefit from the treatment.
However, patients should be in generally good health and have realistic expectations of the results. Unfortunately, patients with an extremely high BMI might not be candidates. Efficiently treats larger areas to address deeper body fat and skin concerns. Morpheus8 can treat almost any area of the body. The most common treatment areas include your thighs, abdomen, upper arms, buttocks, back, flanks, and knees. The Morpheus8 Body treatment itself takes 30 minutes or less. Before your treatment, local anesthesia is injected into the treatment area to keep you comfortable.
The anesthesia should last 45 minutes to an hour, giving Dr. Friedlander plenty of time to complete the treatment before the numbness wears off. Your total treatment time depends on the size of the treatment area and the amount of correction needed. During treatment your doctor will apply the handpiece to the skin, which uses silicone-coated microneedling tips to deliver radiofrequency energy into the tissues. Then the RF energy from Morpheus8 Body penetrates deep into your dermal layer, creating a tightening effect.

All Morpheus8 treatments have the benefit of needing very little downtime. You will need to apply a gentle ointment, such as Aquaphor®, to your skin during the first 24 hours to protect it and help it heal. Other than that, there are no restrictions regarding regular activity; you are free to return to work and other responsibilities immediately after treatment. However, exercise and strenuous activity should be avoided for the first day or two.

In terms of fat reduction, the treated fat cells cannot grow back once they are destroyed. However, the Morpheus8 Body does not prevent fat from accumulating in other areas in the future.
