Liquid Facelift in New Jersey

A Non-Surgical Alternative

The steps taken to achieve facial rejuvenation vary significantly between individuals. For some, topical skin creams and chemical peels are enough to round out their skincare regimen. For others, anti-aging facial plastic surgery is the goal.

If you are looking for a treatment somewhere in the middle, a liquid facelift may be the right choice. A liquid facelift is a combination treatment that, for some, can be an alternative to a surgical facelift. Using injectables, a liquid facelift restores a refreshed and youthful appearance. This treatment offers many of the same benefits of surgery without the associated downtime or costs, making it ideal for those with busy lives or financial constraints.

Have a Question

What is a Liquid Facelift?

A liquid facelift is a combination of injectable treatments designed to promote facial rejuvenation by lifting and filling the facial tissues for wrinkle reduction and soft tissue augmentation. Because most injectable treatments are designed to treat specific areas, a personalized combination is required.

Your Liquid Facelift may include one or more of the following injectables:

How is a Liquid Facelift different from a facelift?

Both the traditional facelift and the liquid facelift are performed to restore youthful contours. A liquid facelift is ideal for women and men hoping to reverse the early onset of aging while maintaining natural-looking contours. While a non-surgical facelift provides a significant improvement, it does not allow for as much correction as facelift surgery, which can tighten and elevate the underlying facial tissues.

Am I a candidate for a Liquid Facelift?

If you are looking to restore fullness in the cheeks, define the jawline, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles but are not ready for invasive surgery, a liquid facelift may be appropriate. Liquid facelift candidates demonstrate mild to moderate signs of facial aging or are looking to touch up the results of a previous facelift. Candidates should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations for their results.

What are the benefits of a Liquid Facelift?

A liquid facelift is intended to:

  • Provide a gentle lift of the facial features
  • Improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and folds
  • Restore a more rested appearance
  • Enhance facial contours

How should I prepare for my Liquid Facelift?

To prepare for your liquid facelift, Dr. Friedlander recommends that you stop smoking and taking all blood-thinning medication, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, NSAIDs, and some herbal supplements. Failure to do so will increase your risk of side effects, including bruising.

How is a Liquid Facelift performed?

A liquid facelift is a customizable combination of injectable treatments that restore youthful facial contours. The right combination of neuromodulators and fillers will be determined during your consultation with Dr. Bev.

During your Liquid Facelift:

  1. Your face will be washed.
  2. Ice packs or a topical anesthetic may be applied for comfort. Some injectable treatments contain or can be mixed with lidocaine to promote comfort further.
  3. A series of injections will be made in your “trouble” spots, such as the cheeks, nasolabial folds, chin, jawline, tear troughs, and areas around the eyes and mouth.

Should I combine other treatments with my Liquid Facelift in New Jersey?

While a liquid facelift is often sufficient for a younger patient, an older patient may show significant sun damage, laxity, or loss of definition. To further improve results, a liquid facelift can be combined with additional non-surgical enhancements.

Common combination procedures include:

What can I expect during my Liquid Facelift recovery?

A liquid facelift is performed in the comfort and safety of Dr. Friedlander’s Short Hills, New Jersey, office. There is little downtime associated with a non-surgical liquid facelift, and most patients can return to their regular activities soon after their treatment.

It is common to experience some swelling, bruising, and minor tenderness. We recommend Arnica to reduce these symptoms.

Are there any risks associated with a Liquid Facelift?

Since the liquid facelift is non-surgical, there is very little risk of complications or serious side effects. Following your treatment, it is possible to experience some swelling, bruising, and mild tenderness at the injection sites.

How long will my Liquid Facelift last?

Your liquid facelift is tailored to your needs and goals, taking into account your unique facial features, skin laxity, loss of volume, and skin damage. Depending on the types and volumes of injections included, the results range from subtle to significant.

Since your liquid facelift components last for varying amounts of time, you may notice some features “age” sooner than others. On average, BOTOX® Cosmetic lasts between three and four months, whereas Sculptra® Aesthetic stimulates collagen production for up to two years.

Follow-up and touch-up treatments can be repeated as necessary to maintain the quality of your results.
