What Is Hydrafacial?

Hydrafacial is probably the best non-invasive anti-aging treatment on the market. It is a multistep procedure that simultaneously deep cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, hydrates and nourishes the skin. It does so by delivering a combination of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acids which are essential for prolonged skin health. Good for use in all skin types, the 30-45 minute procedure results in immediate improvement, leaving the skin radiant with no downtime or discomfort.

Why do I need Hydrafacial?

Hydrafacial promotes good skin health. Your skin is subject to a variety of factors which effect its appearance. Heredity, natural reduction in collagen production, sun damage and pollution can strip the skin of its youthful beauty and lead to dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, dehydration, altered pigmentation, clogged pores, even skin cancers. Hydrafacial can help restore soft supple youthful skin by fighting these damaging effects, resulting in an immediate improvement. The treatment is painless, with no downtime. Unlike with traditional extractions, there is little risk of congestion or breakouts after the procedure.

What Can Be Treated?

The Hydrafacial offers a great deal of flexibility. The treatment can be customized for use on all skin types and on most skin conditions. Whether you have very sensitive skin, sun damaged or aging skin or even acne, there is a treatment protocol that is perfect for you. It is excellent for improving:

  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles
  • Skin Tone and Texture
  • Hyperpigmentation (Sun Damage)
  • Clogged Enlarged Pores
  • Mild Acne
  • General Skin Health

How Does It Work?

It employs a patented spiral suction tip, that cleanses the pores, gently exfoliates the skin and infuses nutrients. This “vortex technology” harnesses the power of water (liquids) and creates a whirlpool that can strip and repair simultaneously. There are 3 standard steps:

  • Cleanse
  • Extract
  • Protect

Each of these steps can be customized to your specific needs, by using targeted products. A mild chemical peel is performed during the first step. The acid can be omitted for sensitive skin. The extractions and exfoliation are done in the 2nd step, and are surprisingly painless. The 3rd step offers the greatest amount of customization and treats a variety of problems:

  • Restorative Treatment uses naturally derived growth factors to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Anti Aging-Age Refinement Treatment uses a peptide complex serum called DermaBuilder and is paired with take home products to improve skin texture and fine lines.
  • Radiance Treatment uses Britenol, an Obagi ZO skin lightner to address dark spots and even out the color of the skin
  • Clarifying Treatment is ideal for acneic skin and involves extended extractions and Blue LED Light Therapy to reduce bacteria and congestion. Red LED Light Therapy can be used as an adjunct to anti-aging.
  • Platinum Treatment adds Lymphatic Drainage to any of the above for the ultimate results.

What is “Perk”?

Perk is the newest addition to the hydrafacial family. As a 10 minute add-on, or a stand alone procedure, Perk with its patented roller flex technology, allows us to treat and exfoliate the sensitive areas such as the lips and eyelids resulting in plumper polished lips and hydrated lower eyelids. The take home supplements, provide your skin with vital supplements and antioxidants that allow you to maintain the improvement in between in office treatments.

Can Other Procedures Be Done At The Same Time?

Hydrafacial is a safe gentle treatment that can be accompanied by other non invasive procedures such as Botox or Fillers. Dermaplaning is a safe and effective means of exfoliating the skin and when done with hydrafacial, will provide added benefit.
