Some people need only their upper or lower lids treated. Some may need both. When performed alone, it can be done under local anesthesia or general anesthesia, if desired. It is a same day surgery and you are followed closely in the office post-operatively. The incisions are placed within natural folds in the eyelid and usually heal exceptionally well and are not visible. The sutures are removed about 5 days after surgery. You are able to return to work in approximately one week.
